Reflections on the Orinoco (after Márquez)

Using previous works where I manipulated Venezuelan currency, I created films for photographic exposures. I then cut these films up in order to create semi-surreal compositions that explore using the historical figures present on the bills as a character. Through these works, the figures become self-aware and contemplate their existence on worthless currency.
