Warped Currencies

Through manually cutting and weaving Venezuelan currency, I create glitched bills that are satirical manifestations of the (failed) solutions implemented by the Venezuelan government to address hyperinflation. These works point towards the over-manipulation of currency by the government, which results in confusion for bill valuation in everyday transactions. Currently, people must value bills based on their printing date and most transactions use a variety of types bills (such as Venezuelan bolívares, US dollars, and euros) in order to reach the desired total.
